All of our remanufactured pumps are built to the exact factory specifications of the original equipment. The components in a remanufactured pump meet O.E.M specifications and tolerances. New components are installed as needed.
Our pumps go through a series of inspections before it is finally assembled. Any power frame and fluid end that is used is of the highest quality with no visible or known blemishes or defects. Once a power frame is found to be acceptable, it is cleaned and sandblasted to bare metal. It is then thoroughly re-inspected for defects that may have been hidden before. Once the power frame passes this inspection, it is primed, painted and ready for final assembly.
The final assembly is a tedious process starting with the installation of the crankshaft and main bearings. Once the crankshaft and main bearings have been installed and proper clearances and rotation is certified, the connecting rods, shell bearings and rest of the power frame components are assembled and re-inspected and tested for proper operation. All new parts that are needed are used in the final assembly of a remanufactured power frame. New bearings, connecting rods, gears, crankshafts and every other moving part are all installed in the pump.
The fluid end is subject to varying degrees of wear from a number of different factors associated with normal operation of a pump. The pumping of abrasive and corrosive materials are prime contributors to wear. Cavitation is a prime contributor to excessive wear on a fluid end body. The approach to remanufacturing a fluid end assembly is somewhat different. Once a fluid end assembly is disassembled, we visually inspect it thoroughly.
First of all the stuffing boxes are checked for wear and tear. Depending on prior service, varying degrees of wear can be observed. If the stuffing boxes are found to be in good condition they will be left alone. If they are not in good condition they will be bored and re-sleeved to OEM specifications.
The valve decks are then examined for wear. If there is any sign of wear at all, the valve decks are re-machined or re-sleeved and machined to original factory specifications and new valves are installed.
Last, the cylinder head and valve cover surfaces on both the covers and casting are examined for wear. If there is any apparent wear, the surface on the fluid end body is machined and the cylinder heads and valve covers are replaced with new ones as well as their studs and fasteners.
Depending on the production time of the pump, the installation of plungers or pistons may be incorporated in the final stage of the power frame assembly or the fluid end assembly. All gaskets, packing and seals used in our remanufactured pumps are new.
